Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. Her articles from Charleston, about how the Charleston police handled DUI cases with care, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston working as a journalist, was a co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring over to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter on weekends. In addition to her current job as the lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and in addition to Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. The other shows she has hosted include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
